KERERU FISHING LODGE NEW ZEALAND
Set amid native kowhai trees, the serenity at Kereru is broken only by the sounds of native birds: Kereru (New Zealand wood
pigeon), tui, bellbirds and fantails. The lodge is set on several acres of grounds, and is bordered by the river on one side, and plantation forest elsewhere, giving you a real sense of isolation, yet only 5 minutes off the main North Island highway via a private road.
Kereru offers two self-contained chalets,
and a separate building housing a washer, drier and freezer. A
two-bedroom cottage is also on site and may be available for guests. Each of the
chalets is identical, featuring the following:
- Bedroom with double bed and two bunk beds.
- All beds have sheets and duvets.
- Toilet, shower and vanity (towels are provided.)
- Fully equipped kitchen, with refrigerator, small stove, pots and pans, plates, utensils, and a dining table with 4 chairs
- Living area with sofa, television and heater
- Patio
